The Vampire Diaries was finally back with an all new episode this week.. and if you are anything like me you were counting the days until you got to see Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) again.This episode was titled "Bring It On" episode 16.

This weeks episode was all about Elena (Nina Dobrev) and when I say all about Elena I mean all about everyone else learning how to deal with Elena turning her feelings off. If you recall at the end of the previous episode, Elena finally realize that Jeremy is dead and his magic ring isn't going to bring him back.  She start to break down feeling all the pain and loss from everyone in her family being dead/killed. At that point the only thing that would make her feel better was Damon using the sire bond. In which, he tells her to "turn it off." Afterwards, Elena burns down her family home with everything in it, including Jeremy's body.

At the beginning of this episode we see Damon and Stefan trying to figure out a way to help Elena get back to normal- while Elena seems everything but normal, in fact she looks numb and states that she "doesn't feel anything."

Everyone decides that it would be best if Elena just went back to high school. While there she decides on her  own that she should would like to get her spot on the cheer-leading team back. Caroline (Candice Accola) has no problem doing this since she is the team captain. Although unknown to everyone on "team: get Elena back to normal" Elena has other reasons than cheering for wanting back on the team. During that week there is cheer competition that will bring in fresh human bodies from outside of Mystic Falls that she can 'feed' on.

Once Stefan gets her back home (after she let Caroline fall flap on her back during the competition and Stefan drugs Elena with vervain), Elena wakes with a some what vengeance. Stefan wants to keep her inside so she can't cause trouble but she has other plans. If Stefan won't let her go out then she will just bring the fun to her... by having a party at the Salvatore house. Once she finds a way to distract Stefan and Caroline (by hurting Sheriff Forbes) she escapes the house. This leads to a man hunt for Elena, ending with Caroline finding her first and a girl vampire fight ensuing, with Elena almost killing her best friend when Damon and Stefan finally show up and save the day.

Damon gets her back home and keeps her away from everyone. Caroline and Stefan talk about how the sire bond might not being working anymore- which to a degree its not because she isn't feeling anymore so why would she do what Damon wants her to do. Elena meanwhile is talking to Damon about how much he should be enjoying the way she is acting instead of trying to control her and make her act a certain way. 

The episode ends with Stefan realize that Silas may in fact be in Mystic Falls which could really be a bring problem. He contacts Damon (by phone) with this information asking him where is he. Damon lets him know he is out for a drive, which he is in fact but he doesn't plan on coming home any time soon. He is with Elena on the way to New York.

Next week should be a good episode... We are promised a new look dramatic look from Elena, a Damon and Lexi run in (flashback) and more hunting for the cure... which could mean more Katherine. 

Episode 17- "Because The Night"

All new episode of Vampire Diaries this week titled 'Because The Night.' I am clueless on what this episode title means, so if you know fill me in. I am assuming it is because most of the episode takes place at night but that seems to easy of an answer.

Anyways most of this episode is about two different things- the New York group and the Mystic Falls group. The New York, Elena, Damon and Rebecca are searching for the cure- but not together. Damon is trying to do it alone without the two girls knowing but he is clueless to the fact that they know what he is doing and the girls decide to work together. The Mystic Falls group, Stefan, Caroline, Klaus, Bonnie and Silas(Shane) are trying to figure out this 'triangle' getting completed. Stefan, Caroline and Klaus don't want it completed. Silas is pushing Bonnie to complete it but she has to sacrifice twelve witches to make that happen.

We get a few flashbacks with Damon and Lexi (Airelle Kebbel) in New York City in the 70's. She tries to help him turn his humanity back on (on the request of Stefan). This is a six month process and it turns on Damon fakes it in the end to make her believe he has feelings for her. Turns out he never "flicked the switch" and turned it back on.

Elena is acting wild and crazy, she even gets a new haircut and some red added into the brown color she is already wearing. She has Damon tell her about the Lexi stories from the 70's. She tries to lure him up to the roof and seduce him to get the information he dug  up on Katherine's where a bouts (it's in his back pocket of his jeans). He doesn't fall for it and Rebecca comes out of no where and snaps his neck. Thus getting the information and the girls take off together... in Damon's car.

Back in Mystic Falls, the good team (Stefan, Caroline and Klaus) work to get more information about what Silas' plan is. They realize that the next 12 person sacrifice could be in two spots. They split up to get to both. Meanwhile Silas has convinced Bonnie to contact her mother to get enough witches to come to "help" her deal with expression. Bonnie lets her mother know the meeting place to send the witch to help her. Just so happens this witch bring her whole clan with her... 11 other witches. Stefan ends up finding the site of the sacrifice and tries to reach the witches to let them know what is happening. They believe him about Silas but decide that if Silas has reached Bonnie then she needs to be killed and they push Stefan out with there powers (they are all connected as one at this point). Klaus and Caroline finally catch up to Stefan; Klaus and Stefan seem to be okay with letting Bonnie die instead of the sacrifice happening but Caroline is not. Just as the witch is about to drive a knife into Bonnie's chest, Caroline runs in and uses the knife to stab the witch... this of course killing 12 witches. Silas now has his triangle complete.

When Stefan gets Bonnie home and she wakes, we learn that the last thing Bonnie remembers is being on the island in the tomb watching Jeremy try to get the cure out of Silas grip. She now learns the Jeremy is died. I am sure Stefan catches her up on everything else going on with Elena also. 

Lastly, Silas meets with Klaus letting him know that he would like Klaus help with the triangle. Klaus doesn't want to bring down the other side-allowing every supernatural being that has been killed to come back. Silas stabs Klaus with the white oak stake to remember him that he will in fact help.

What will happen next week? Rebecca and Elena working together... I'm sure this can't be good... especially adding Katherine to the mix. What will happen now that the triangle is complete and will Bonnie realize what has been happening to her? Also, how will Damon get home or will he go home or after Elena and Rebecca??

Episode 18- "American Gothic"

Elena and Rebecca are searching for Katherine and the cure in the small town of Willowbee. Damon and Stefan are trying to find them... after they find Damon's car. The girls ditched it after it ran out of gas and stole a new one. Klaus is at his home hiding away because he was stabbed by Silas with the white oak stake and left a piece in him. Silas is now pretending to be Caroline to get Klaus to realize he can be anyone he wants and he will haunt Klaus until he finds him the cure.

Back in Willowbee, the girls are finding out that Katherine has compelled the whole town to not remember her unless they are actual talking to her. This works for them since Elena looks just like her. The mailman says he saw her two minutes ago and wonders what happened to her hair; this is how they realize that Katherine is still in town. They soon find her and have a little heart to heart about where the cure is. 

Katherine's plan is to give Klaus the cure in return for her finally getting her freedom from him. The girls don't get any answers from her about where the cure is so they search her phone and find she is suppose to meet someone named "EM". Elena decides to go as Katherine to find out who it is. The boys end up finding Rebecca and Katherine at the diner. They ask where Elena is- Rebecca finally spills after she realizes Elijah is "EM". It take Elijah and little bit to realize Katherine is Elena once he sees her daylight ring. Stefan goes to find Elena and Damon and Rebecca take Katherine back to her place to get the cure. She puts Damon's face into a vervain fish bowl and tricks Rebecca into thinking she has the cure to let herself get away. Rebecca takes the cure and when she wakes up Damon throws a knife at her and she catches it to fast and realize she is still a vampire. The cure was a fake. In the end after a fallout with Elijah, Katherine gives him the cure hoping they can start over if he gives her the chance. Elijah and Rebecca head back to Mystic Falls together to have a conversation with Klaus.

Klaus get the real Caroline to help him remove the piece of stake in his back. They have a fight about Tyler and Caroline tells him she will help him if he lets Tyler come home. They fight some more and Klaus realizes the pain in his back no longer hurts- meaning Silas was only in his head and nothing was in his back. He tells Caroline that she helped him in this, she pulled him back. He thanks her and reminds her that he isn't searching for Tyler if she would notice that.

At the end of the episode Damon apologize to Stefan for not trying harder to stop Rebecca from taking the fake cure. Stefan informs Damon that once they get the cure and get Elena back to human he is leaving town. He doesn't want to keep repeating his life fighting over a girl with Damon. They meet Elena at the diner and she informs them that they need to stop trying to save her- that this is her now and they need to deal with it. They say no and she tells them there will be consequences if they don't stop. When they waitress comes back to fill her drink Elena gets up and snaps her neck killing her. She tells the guys "like I said consequences, that's one body your responsible for, keep trying to fix me and  there will be a second, a twentieth and a hundredth, it's your choice."

Episode 19- "Pictures of You"


Vampire Diaries was finally back with a new episode this Thursday, which thank god!

The opening scene we get to see Jeremy back!! So cool, right? Anyways he helps Bonnie in her dreams. We should have known something was up because Bonnie was at Jeremy's grave and he doesn't have one because Elena burn the house down and then turned off her humanity right away. 
Elijah tells Rebecca that he will give her the cure if she goes a whole day without using vampire powers. This should be interesting...
Then we get into the prom part of the episode. First off, Elena steals Caroline's dress. Stefan and Damon think taking Elena to prom will help bring back the humanity side and see what life used to be like when she had feelings. Bonnie is shocked to see how Elena truly is gone and Matt is having a hard time excepting it too. Stefan and Damon both take their turn trying to make Elena remember things from the past but she isn't falling for it. Rebecca asks Matt if he thinks she will be a good human. His response... "I've never seen you do a good thing, so no I don't think you will be a good human." Ouch! that one stung.

Caroline shows up in a dress from Klaus. Something from the family collection- which looks amazing. Rebecca wants April to swing the vote so she can be Prom Queen without compelling her. Elena threatens April to do it and Rebecca yells at her. Elena's quote reminds Rebecca about the time she compelled Elena, Stefan and Caroline at the school and made Tyler turn- letting her know she isn't a good person and she can't win Prom Queen if she opens her mouth and to let Elena do the work.
Elijah gives Klaus the white oak stake that Rebecca gave him.
Back at prom Bonnie realize she is seeing Jeremy because Silas is pretending to be him. She informs the group and Rebecca and Elena overhear. Matt and Bonnie win Prom King and Queen. Realizing they can't kill someone who they don't know what they look like, Elena realize that Silas needs Bonnie to do the spell. She tells Rebecca if you can't kill Silas- kill who Silas needs... Bonnie. Rebecca says she can't kill her because she can't be a vampire today and Elena says that's fine but she can kill her!
Tyler shows up at this house to see Caroline. They have a sweet moment together.

Back at prom Silas pretends to be Stefan and stabs Damon, telling him to leave Elena alone. Silas also informs Damon that Stefan is in the woods somewhere because he made Stefan believe that he was Damon also. Elena finds Bonnie and of course tells her she needs to stop being a problem and attempts to kill her. Bonnie does her magic stuff and puts Elena down but also sends a lot of wind into the crowd and breaks some lights and takes off. April walks in and asks Matt and Elena what is going on and Elena turns around and knocks April out and bites her neck for not making Rebecca Prom Queen. Matt is left holding onto April hoping she isn't dead. Matt ask Rebecca to help save Aprils life. While Bonnie is trying to leave Elena attacks her and wants to kill her. Elena gets sick from Bonnie's blood and Bonnie then starts hurting Elena. Stefan and Damon talk Bonnie down before she kills Elena. Stefan and Damon then stab Elena with vervain. Matt thanks Rebecca for saving Aprils life and swears he won't tell anyone that she used her vampire powers.... But Klaus sees everything while he waits in the background. While Klaus is telling Rebecca that she will tell Elijah herself what she did BUT back home Elijah is talking to someone that looks like Rebecca! He gives that person the cure... that person is Silas pretending to be Rebecca!

The episode finishes with Klaus seeing Tyler at the house as he was trying to leave. He gives him 5 seconds to go before he rips his heart out. Stefan and Damon put Elena in the dungeon. Klaus comes home to find a letter from Katherine about a witch plotting against him in New Orleans. Bonnie does a spell to find where Silas is hiding and goes to find him. They have conversation and Silas barely shows his face to her because it is very scared by Bonnie's ancestor.
Next week we head to New Orleans to see the back door pilot of "The Originals". Let me know your thoughts on the episode.

Episode 20- "The Originals" 


I know this is late but I figured I would get the review done for anyone who hasn't seen it or just because. This episode was the back door pilot for the new series "The Originals" that so far will star the characters of Klaus, Elijah, Rebecca and Hayley.

The episode starts off with Damon and Stefan talking about Elena and what they can do to get her to turn her feelings back on. In comes Katherine to inform the boys that Klaus is gone thanks to that little werewolf Hayley... but we are unaware how yet. We then find out that Klaus has headed to New Orleans to find a witch that according to Katherine is plotting against him.

We find Hayley in a bar looking for information on her family. There are two sisters there and one (Jane Anne) tells Hayley where to go to find what she is looking for. Instead she is trying to do a spell and Hayley is the key to it. The other sister heads out to the area with friends to get Hayley when the spell is complete.

Klaus continues to look for a witch named Jane Anne and runs into some issues because a vampire named Marcel runs the town and there are rules to follow. Seems to be some tension between the two but turns out they are friends and Klaus was Marcel's mentor. Klaus lets him know that he is looking for Jane Anne and Marcel's tells him to come with him and that it's "showtime". In a gathering by many vampires, Jane is tried and convicted for using magic. She tells Marcel "to rot in hell, monster" and then he kills her... upsetting Klaus, since he couldn't talk to her. Making Klaus a little suspicious of Marcel. Klaus goes to find her sister, Sophie. Marcel's little spies follow Klaus... not making him happy. Sophie leaves to head outback to have a moment to herself to pray for her sister. Marcel's men follow her out back to try to figure out why Klaus wanted to talk to Jane Anne. Sophie says she doesn't know and then someone hurts the men and it turns out to be Elijah.

Klaus is angry that Marcel had him followed and goes back to find him at some random dark night club of his. Marcel and Klaus have a conversation about what the city has become. When Marcel leaves, Elijah makes himself known to Klaus. Elijah ask Klaus to follow him- that he has found out what the witches have in store for him. He takes him to Sophie. Sophie tells him that she will take Marcel down and Klaus will help her. Klaus ask how? In walks Hayley. Sophie lets Klaus know she has a special gift.... knowing when a girl is pregnant! Elijah informs him that Hayley is pregnant with Klaus' child. Sophie lets him know that this is natures way of evening the plain. Klaus doesn't believe it and Elijah begs him to listen... to the heartbeats inside of Hayley... hearing his child's heartbeat. Klaus tells them to kill Hayley and the baby that he doesn't care. Elijah begs again for him to take this gift.. this chance at a family. After all the begging Klaus still tells Elijah no.

Klaus goes back to see Marcel. Marcel keeps asking what his business with the witches are and that he has rules and whats Klaus to leave "his city" alone "my home, my family, my rules" to be exact. Klaus doesn't like that to much- causing a tit-for-tat style fight about who did what when. Ending with Klaus biting one of Marcel's vampires. Leaving Klaus to say "who has the power now, my friend". 

Klaus tells Elijah that he will take on being a father, that every king needs an hire. Klaus apologize to Marcel and heals his vampire in order to get back into Marcel's good side. He tells Marcel that the quarter is still his but he would like to stay awhile if that is okay. Marcel and him hug it out. Klaus later calls Caroline back in Mystic Falls and leaves a message for her, telling her he would really like it if she was there with him. Elijah goes back to Mystic Falls to tell Rebecca that they will be moving to New Orleans as a family. Rebecca is not happy about this and tells Elijah that she will not be going with them.

Other things that happen are we meet the bartender named Camille "Cami", who will also have a role in the new series. Elijah also tells Katherine goodbye. We also get to see Damon and Stefan with Elena at the end. She challenges them to see who breaks first- her or them...


Episode 21- "She's Come Undone"


This latest episode of The Vampire Diaries centers back in Mystic Falls. We focus back on our main characters a lot more. Mainly "trying to fix Elena" again.

The episode starts out with Damon trying to work inside Elena's head. She doesn't want to give in at all. We find out that they have her locked up in a safe in the house. Caroline hates the idea of what they are doing to Elena. She talks to Elena to try to get her to "come back" but Elena attacks her and Caroline ends up breaking her neck. Telling Stefan to do whatever he had to do.

Bonnie meets up with Katherine at a restaurant because Bonnie has an offer that Katherine can't refuse... Bonnie wants the stone that Katherine took from the island. The gift that Bonnie gives her will be freedom by figuring out what the spell is that Katsia did on Silas so she can have it. Katherine tells Bonnie that they have a deal.

Stefan and Damon tie Elena to a chair and take her day ring from her. They put her in a room where they pull the drapes and let her burn for awhile. Caroline, Matt and REBECCA wait at the house while Damon and Stefan are with Elena. There are a few awkward moments between the three but we find out that Matt is failing a few classes. Caroline leaves to get stuff to study with while they wait for Elena- when she leaves we see that Klaus is there waiting. As they walk and talk and have a moment of some kind we learn that Klaus is not Klaus but Silas. He tells her he wants Bonnie and if she doesn't find her he will kill someone she cares for and before he leaves he stabs Caroline. When Caroline gets home she finds her mom- she doesn't know whether to believe that it is really her mother. She calls her to see if her phone rings and it does. They talk about what is going on and wait for Bonnie. When Bonnie arrives the door is locked and Caroline wants to know how to believe that it's here. Bonnie freaks when Sheriff Forbes comes around the corner because she knows that it is Silas now. Silas attacked Sheriff Forbes and leaves her on the floor with Caroline freaking out and feeding her her blood. Silas makes Bonnie leave without seeing Caroline and her mom. We are lead to believe that her mother is dead... but she isn't she comes back.

The boys are still burning Elena. She is still spitting out horrible comments to each of the brothers. Elena breaks the ropes and runs for the drapes and pulls them down burning herself into flames... the boys save her and she laughs stating "I'm am the girl you love you would never kill him, so what do I have to be afraid of". The boys rethink how they can get through to Elena- they settle on getting Katherine to come over and get to Elena.  Katherine wants to know what Elena and Elijah talked about to turn him against her. Elena lets her know that she didn't have to say anything, Katherine did it on her own. Katherine throws her back in the safe but doesn't lock it because she would love to see if Elena would make it on her own without everything running to her rescue. While Damon is talking to Katherine, Stefan finds out that Elena is missing.
Damon gets Matt to help track her down. Matt tracks Elena down and does everything he can think of to bring her humanity back but Elena attacks him anyways. Elena takes a lot of his blood and then Stefan and Damon show up. Damon threatens Matt's life if Elena doesn't turn her feelings back on... Elena thinks he is bluffing and Damon shows he isn't when he snaps Matt's neck. Elena is shocked/sad/mad and everything else. Elena begins to cry- when Damon shows her that Matt was wearing the life ring that will bring him back. Elena's emotions are finally back- she starts to freak about what she has done when her feelings were off. Stefan tells her to focus on one thing inside her that makes her strong and want to be alive and she starts to calm. That thing Elena focused on was- Katherine... Elena wants her dead and now that is her goal and her only goal!
Tune in for the next episode- only two more episodes left in the season! How will Elena deal with what she has done and what will she do about Katherine? Also what will Bonnie do with the stone and can she take down Silas? Tune in to find out.

Episode 22- "The Walking Dead"

This weeks episode of The Vampire Diaries is the last episode before the season 4 finale. The episode starts out with Elena still trying to find a way to kill Katherine.. only problem she doesn't know where she is. Now where is she??? With Bonnie. Bonnie has linked the two of them together so Silas can't get into Katherine's head. Bonnie is trying to drop the veil between worlds (dead and alive) so she can talk to Katsia to figure out how to beat Silas. Bonnie is lighting each part of the triangle to do the expression spell. She has to complete the spell in the center of the triangle, which is the school. Caroline, Stefan, Damon and Elena go to the school to find Bonnie. Well the three do.. Elena goes to find Katherine, she stakes Damon to get away from him to find Katherine. Bonnie is able to drop the veil. As Damon is trying to pull the stake out of his stomach, ALARIC comes to ask him if he needs a hand!

Matt and Rebecca have a romantic moment kind of only to be ruined by Kol. Kol leaves but not before he throws a broken bottle at Matt that lands in his chest. Rebecca offers to help Matt but he doesn't want her to. She goes to get a first aid kit in the back and finds Caroline cutting herself. Silas has made her to do it. Now Bonnie is really with Silas who is Caroline.

Bonnie lets Katherine go to find out who is coming only Katherine finds Elena. Elena is unaware that Katherine and Bonnie are linked. Everything Elena is doing to Katherine is happening to Bonnie. Stefan shows up just as Elena is about to kill Katherine. Another save to hero Stefan.
Elena goes to visit Jeremy's grave. Telling him she is sorry that she gives up and that she can't move on without him. Finally letting her emotions out. Kol pays a visit to her and a fight starts. Kol beats up on Elena pretty good and is about to kill her when Jeremy shows up to save her. With Stefan's help they kill Kol and Elena gets her moment with Jeremy.
With Damon's help Bonnie is able to freeze Silas and clot his blood to starve him again. Elena comes to Bonnie and apolgize to her about everything. Bonnie also gets to see Jeremy. Promising to give Elena and Jeremy as much time as she can.

Stefan gets a chance to see Lexi and Alaric and Damon get to have one last drink together. Alaric also gives Damon the cure back and tells him to get the girl...
Bonnie goes against her grandmother and tries to bring Jeremy back for good. The spells she does knock her out and we are left to wonder what happened. Only to find out that the spell dropped the veil completely and it also killed Bonnie as she wakes to her grandmother telling her she is sorry but the spell was just to much and it shows Bonnie's body on the ground.
