Episode 16- "Illumination"
Some story-lines are formed in the beginning- Jack (Nick Wechsler) still trying to figure out what happened the night Amanda (Margarita Levieva) was killed and he was shot, the Graysons starting a new charity in honor of Amanda called 'The Amanda Clarke Foundation' to help children, Daniel (Josh Bowman) trying to deal with the guilt he is feeling and also Emily trying to figure out what her brother is doing in town.
Emily finally has a conversation with her foster brother Eli, once he figures out that she is in fact Amanda- he sees the tattoo on her wrist and remembers her always drawing the sign on everything. He talks about how he tried to find her after she got out of juvy but she was off the grid. She talks to her like she really cares about him and is happy to see him but he needs to leave. She says she will help him start over with money but he just needs to do it somewhere else.
Jack get some information about the night Amanda died from deckhand/boat owner at the docks. The man tells him about a guy who wanted to rent the boat and later that night decided he wanted to buy it. The boat owner then describes what the man looked like who wanted to buy the boat. Without the boat owner knowing he describes Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to a T. The boat owner then tells Jack that's all he knows and Jack informs him that that is okay he has done more than enough. At the foundation party Jack confronts Nolan about being there the night Amanda died. Nolan denies it and does some work with the boat owner information, making it look like one of the Ryan brothers (Kenny) owned it. All ends well with this story-line, Jack and Nolan are okay.
The majority of the episode surrounds the foundation party being thrown by the Graysons. Nolan and Emily arrive together. They talk to Eli together and help wipe his criminal record clean and give him money to get a fresh start- $100,000.00 of a fresh start. Although Eli isn't ready to leave yet. Emily tries to drop negative hints to Ashley who then relays them to Victoria about how Eli isn't a good guy- hoping they will ask him to leave. Aiden continues to try to get in with Daniel without much luck, he even starts to bother Daniel. Aiden decides to try a different way by trying to push Daniel back to Emily. Either way one of them will get Daniel back on their side. The push works because after Daniel turns to his father Conrad for information, Conrad informs him that the charity is a front and a way to hind the Graysons money. Daniel turns to Emily to share this information and a lot more..Initiative. Toward the end of the evening, Eli gives the check Emily gave him back to Victoria as a donation to the charity in honor of Amanda.
We learn the Eli will be staying around for a little while, since Victoria has appointed him co-chair of the charity.
Nolan and Emily get information from Aiden about how to get into the charity account and try to bankrupt the Graysons but hit a firewall they didn't expect. Another flashback, with Nolan and David Clarke comes back. Another story-line starts, The Falcon- a computer hacker who helped frame David Clarke is back on the Graysons payroll. He has put in a firewall code to protect the Graysons account. The episode ends with Emily saying "lets go hunting". I am assuming that 'The Falcon' will take up more of the rest of the season trying to figure out who this person it. I am also excited to see how fall Jack will push the revenge line himself. And will Emily and Daniel reconnect?? And what is Eli's plan??
Episode 17- "Victory"
Revenge was all new this week and picked up right where it left off last Sunday. We get a few flashback throughout the show from Emily's past at the foster home with Eli and her foster mother Ms. Heyward. Most of the episode is about this story line.
Eli convinces Victoria to sponsor the Heyward House in honor of the Amanda Clarke Foundation, since it has fallen on hard times and needs funding or Ms. Heyward will lose the house and children. Eli has another plan in mind though and asks Emily to trust him. We see Eli play both side though; when Emily and him go to meet Ms. Heyward, we all get to see a side conversation with Eli and Heyward about how they are going to split the money given 60/40. This get your mind wondering what side Eli is really on.
Later at the live announcement of the funding ceremony, Eli lets everyone know the truth about Ms. Heyward and all that she has done to the children who have been in her foster home, including what she did to him and Emily. At this point to get back at him, Ms. Heyward announces to everyone that Eli was the one who started the fire that sent Emily to juvy as a child. This comes as a shock to Emily and she is hurt and angry. She thinks her whole life could have been different if not for that fire. As early in the episode Eli informed her that Ms. Heyward had been holding letter from Emily's father and Eli wanted to get those back for her. Emily thinks everything could have been different if she knew her father was reaching out to her.
Later in the episode we see Eli back at Ms. Heywards house. She states that all the children have been taken and she is alone now. Eli lets her know that he is there for "Amanda" and wants the letters from her. He puts her in the dungeon that she put all the other children in for so long until she tells him what he wants to know. Turns out she sold the letters to Mason. Emily goes to see Mason is prison to talk about the where the letters are (they all burned last year when she lite his house on fire), but he does drop one big piece of information that was in them. One of the letters has David confirming that Victoria had an older son she gave up, who ended up in the foster care system!
Other story-lines from the episode have Jack tracking down Kenny Ryan and asking about the night Amanda died. Kenny denies any part of it and Jack finally believes him. Kenny also lets him know that his brother taped all his conversations with Conrad and that he has them for proof. Jack wants the tape and later is the episode listens to them with Declan.
Daniel is still watching every shadow around him and seems to slowing be falling into a deep grave with his guilt. He confides in Emily (just as she planned) about everything. He promises not to let anything happen to her and to keep her safe. Meanwhile, Victoria has other plans to scare him away from Emily. She has him followed to the place he and Emily had lunch and gets a photo taken. At the end of the episode Daniel has a package delivered to him that is urgent. When he opens it he find the picture and two bullets. He thinks its the initiative but it was really Victoria. As the camera frames change it shows Victoria closing her jewelry box that had a case of bullets in it with two missing.
Last thing that happened this episode is between Aiden, Nolan and Padma. Padma is to suppose to turn over the CarrieAnn project to the initiative to free her father by noon time. Aiden and Nolan find a way to help her. Nolan puts a tracking device on the flash drive so they will always know where the program is. When the drop comes early they boys have to rush to make sure they are set and ready when the initiative gets there. Once Padma's father is seen, Aiden is going to kill everyone else and get Padma and her father out of the country. All goes NOT as planned. Padma is taken and Nolan and Aiden are left to try to figure out what happened. Later they track the signal device and find it in a random abandon place with no one around. Nolan then gets a text that says he is sorry about his friends head and they see a box ahead of them. Aiden checks it out and finds the turtle head of the flash drive in the box (when the tracker was at). He later finds out that the falcon is also working with the initiative.
Next week should bring lots of explosive details since it will be a mascaraed ball. Let me know your thoughts on the episode.
Episode 18- "Masquerade"
This weeks Revenge was based during Halloween time; although if I didn't see the two pumpkins or hear the word Halloween once I would have never guessed.
Episode starts off with a six week swing in time. Nolan is still looking for Padma with the help of a Detective Durant, but that search isn't going anywhere. Emily is worried about Nolan and whats happening him while trying to find Padma. Victoria is planning a Masquerade Ball and trying to play match maker with Daniel and a new/old flame from their past. She is surprised to find an RSVP from her "son" that she had at the age of sixteen(the RSVP is Emily's doing).
Conrad has a Q & A at the Stowaway for the community to be able to ask questions about Conrad's run for Governor. A surprise question makes it in without approval- it happens to be about David Clark's trial (Nolan and Jack are responsible). Conrad doesn't know what to say at first but answers with telling everyone that he will reopen the case if he is elected president.
Aiden and Emily have a plan to help find Padma's location but it will send Daniel of the walls if it happens and they are afraid they will lose the in they have with Daniels relationship with Aiden. It involves moving funds that Trask has in Grayson Global into another fund that will be "doomed" which will bring Trask out in the open to talk with Daniel and then Aiden can jump him in his car to have him take him to Padma's whereabouts. It works. Daniel also finds out during this meeting with Trask that the threat on Emily and him did not come from the Initiative. He soon confronts his mother at the ball that he knows it was her. He also reaches out to Emily- finally after six weeks. He wants her to be his date to the masquerade ball even though she wasn't invited by Victoria but Daniel doesn't care.
To add to the stress Victoria is feeling over the RSVP card from her "son". Emily has a bouquet of black roses delivered to her with one rose missing. The note card say that he "will be wearing the twelfth rose."
Conrad confronts Victoria about the RSVP card and she tells him that she terminated the pregnancy because the father of the baby was her mothers boyfriend at the time. It is implied that he took advantage of her. She thinks that someone found this information out and is trying to use it against her.
Aiden makes Trask take him to Padma's location only to find out that she was killed earlier that day. Not only that, the place is boobytrapped by motion detectors and that the cops are now on their way. Aiden ends up killing Trask before he leaves.
At the ball Victoria is searching for her "son" when she see Emily. Emily informs her that she is Daniels date and to basically deal with it. Jack overhears a conversation between Ashley and Conrad where it has Conrad being not so nice with her. Victoria confronts Daniel about him and Emily being "back together" seen on Page 6 of the paper. He returns her two bullets letting her know "to feel free to use them both, one for each of her two faces." Clever line Daniel! Aiden informs Emily what has happened to Padma- they then inform Nolan and he doesn't take it well. Emily paid someone to be dressed in the same outfit as Aiden and wear the twelfth rose on his jacket. As Victoria sees this she starts to follow the guy running into Aiden and then fainting to the ground.
The next day, Aiden is upset that Emily is now with Daniel- even though it is an act by her. Jack asks Ashley to meet him and join his side in helping the Graysons get what they deserve- she agrees. Nolan is confronted by that same detective that was helping him but now is trying to get him for the murder of Padma. Emily tracks Victoria to a church where she see her talking to a sister. We gets flashbacks at this point that in fact let us know that Victoria had the baby but then gave him up and wanted to know nothing of what became of him. Emily then talks to that same sister and informs her that she is pregnant and has nowhere else to go....
What happens next is going to be a long wait. New episodes won't be back until April 28th. Is Emily really pregnant or is she just playing along to get information?? My guess is she is just playing along. I guess we will have to wait and see. Let me know your thoughts on the episode below.
Episode 19- "Identity"
We start off with Emily narrotive like every beginning episode and we see that she stayed with Daniel. Jack and Ashley start their plot against Conrad. Emily goes to get Nolan from his acquittal and the press hound him. Once back to Emily's they decide that they will work to find out who "The Falcon" is.
Aiden, Nolan and Emily go through some old videos she has about her fathers case and they also try to find out what hospital Victoria had her baby at that The Falcon helped cover up. They find out because of the fact that The Falcon puts his name in all of his work some where. They send the document to Victoria with forgery stamped over it.
Jack is still being distant with Emily- Emily also sees Ashley at Jacks with baby Carl.
Back at Emily's, Nolan and her talk about Padma. Emily keeps trying to tell him that this isn't his fault- that The Falcon and the Grayson's are responsible. While talking The Falcon reaches out to them trying to figure out who sent the forgery document. The Falcon now knows that it is Nolan but not that Emily is involved. They agree to meet up to defend a game title! (dorks) at a local video arcade.
Back at Daniels office, we find out that Mr. Takeda is back in town! Didn't see that coming. Aiden seems surprised to see him. They talk in Japanese for a moment in front of Daniel. Aiden ask if they are finished that he would like to take his old boss (Takeda) out for a drink. While they have a drink, Takeda tells Aiden his emotional feelings for Emily are getting in the way of her mission. Aiden tells him that after he killed a man that killed his sister he realized it wasn't worth it. He says he will finish this for Emily without anymore casualties and walks out on Takeda.
At the video arcade Nolan finds out that The Falcon is a woman. Nolan wants information and she isn't willing to give it up. They decide to play for it. Nolan wins the game. The Falcon leaves but knowing that Nolan tells her to help or her hacker reputation is ruined. Man the dork world is so intimidating!
Jack spies on Conrad to see who he is meeting up with. With Ashley's help we find out that the woman he just left with is the Governor's wife.
At the Grayson's there is a news crew there to interview Conrad- which of course means everyone is going to be interview... including Emily. During the interview, wedding bells are brought up. Emily says you can never be sure about the future but nothing would be greater than joining the Grayson family. This is overhead as Jack watches and is so unhappy with the statement that he walks out. Later when Emily calls Jack, he lets her know that he no longer wants Emily to be Carl's Godmother. Next up is Conrad and Victoria and of course the baby topic comes up. Victoria admits that she had a baby and gave the baby up for adoption to enroll in an European art school. She walks off the set after. The Falcon (Edith) calls Nolan right after this to ask how he got the information since the only copy was on her computer. The junk drive Nolan gave her had some top notch stuff that hacked her computer and that how he got it. He also releases her picture and turns her in to the FBI.
The fall out after the interview has Emily and Nolan talk over the phone. Daniel shows up at Emily's door. He apologizes for putting Emily on the spot about the wedding bell thing- BUT he also gives her a choice as he gives her the ring back. If she choices to put it on then he knows her answer but he doesn't want to go down the same path as they previous did. He wants it to work this time. Ashley gets back on Conrad's good side. Victoria shows up at Nolan's office. She offers him his company back if he helps her find her first born son. Emily goes to see Aiden and tells him about Daniel giving her the ring back. Aiden tells her to marry Daniel and take the family down so she can come back to him after this is all over.
Next week starts the stretch for for the season finale. Seems to be getting juicy. Tune in next week.
Episode 20- "Engagement"
All new episode of Revenge this week. One of the last three episodes in the season. This episode was titled "Engagement" obviously because Emily tells Daniel yes to his proposal/proposition.
The episode starts out with them having dinner and deciding that they will be moving to Paris to live. They then tell his parents and well you guessed it Victoria is not okay with it.
Aiden's employee records arrive and Daniel is ticked when he finds out about Aiden's father. Daniel fires Aiden.
Jack and Ashley are up to no good plotting against Conrad again.
Emily goes to Charlotte about the engagement and they have a heart to heart. Emily ask Charlotte to be her maid of honor- she says yes. As she leaves the house, she finds out that Jack has a meeting with Victoria and is very uneasy about what is going on between them. Turns out that Jack wanted to show her the picture he has with Conrad and the governors wife Allison. Victoria comments about how she has seen the rift between Jack and Emily. Victoria's way of scheming of course, also mentioning that Jack was the reason Emily and Daniel called the engagement off before.
Victoria goes and pays Allison a visit. Turns out that Allison has been feeding Conrad information about her husbands case so he doesn't win. She wants her husband and herself out of the political life because her husband has a heart condition. Victoria records the whole conversation and then releases it to the press.
Aiden goes and talks to Nolan about how he doesn't want an end game for Emily. They decide to work on breaking the code to the bank account for the Amanda Clarke Foundation. Nolan tells him it is impossible but they try anyways. Nolan goes to visit Edith "the falcon" in jail. She tells him about the real identity of Victoria's first born son. Turns out Victoria paid the kid 5 million to disappear.
That evening at the engagement party Emily and Victoria have a conversation. Victoria lets Emily know that she does not have the look of a women in love- not a year ago and not today. Emily deals with it in her own way firing back quickly. Daniel tells Emily that he fired Aiden and explains the reason why. Victoria then interrupts the two apologizing for her previous reaction to there announcement. Emily sees Takeda out of the corner of her eye and they leave and have a conversation about Aiden and how she feel Takeda turned on him and her by doing this. She finds out that Takeda has his own plan in place and that he doesn't want their help that it is his path alone. Jack is waiting to talk to Emily when she gets back from her conversation with Takeda. He ask why she didn't tell him about the kiss before being the reason that the engagement was called off. She tells him she tired but Amanda was there and pregnant and figured it was over. Emily tells him she will tell him everything one day. Jack walks off not wanting to hear anymore secret anymore.
Aiden is waiting back at Takeda's place and they have a heated conversation. Aiden tells him he knows that Takeda was never going to let them go and get out once their missions were complete. They have a knife fight and just when you think Takeda is going to kill Aiden, Aiden turns the knife and it hits the wall turning while breaking it and pushing Takeda into the knife... killing him.
Daniel goes and gets Charlotte out of jail and ask her what is going on and she lets him known that she is pregnant. Also Jack plays the voice over between Conrad and Nate Ryan. Aiden and Nolan break into the bank account and just as they are about to drain the account Emily walks in and tries to stop them. As the money drains a black out starts and the whole city goes black... CarrieAnn project was linked to "the falcons" code on the account.
Next week is the season finale a two hour send off. Tune in and see what happens.
