I am so thrilled that The Voice is back. I also am looking forward to seeing how Shakira and Usher are going to change the show. So lets begin with the blind auditions.
Episode 1What a start! A four chair turn around. At first these girls made me nervous and I didn't expect R&B out of them but they killed Alisha Keys. The Morgan Sisters decide to go with Team Blake and I have to say I was surprised. I thought it was going to be Usher.
Mark Andrew seems to be a rocker of choice. He has a rasp to his a voice that makes him different from your average rocker and alternative rock sounds. A sound similar to Gavin Degraw. He goes with Team Shakira.
Vedo is an inspiring R&B artist. He hope that Usher turns around for him. He performs Justin Bieber's hit song "Boyfriend". Usher in fact turns his chair. Team Usher for Vedo.
Christian Porter is a pretty cool dude. He sings "Sexy and I know It" by LMAFO but completely different. It was so unique. He sang the whole rap part almost folk style... I don't even know what style it was. Three of the four turn their chair (Adam didn't) and he ends up picking Team Blake.
Kris Thomas is a R&B artist. This is the "shocker" of the night that gets all the coaches. Shakira is the only one who picks him but all the guys want him afterwards. He sings Whitney Houston and knocks it out of the park. He sounds like a girl... but he's not and that is what shocks everyone. He is Team Shakira.
Judith Hill is an R&B artist who comes from music. She spent some time perparing for Michael Jackson's "this is it" tour before he passed. She sang "heal the world" at his memorial services. She sings a Christina Aguilera song called "what a girl wants" but a totally different way, not the pop way. She gets a four chair turn around. Adam makes a huge play for her. I think the Adam and Shakira have the best play but Adam pretty much makes sure she knows he will die if she doesn't pick him. She goes Team Adam.The end of the night count puts Team Adam at one artist. Team Blake had three. Team Usher has two and Shakira also has two artist. New show tonight.
Episode 2 of blind auditions aired tonight. This was just a one hour episode so it went pretty quick.
First up was Tawnya Reynolds- country to the core. She gets a three chair turn (Blake not included). Blake does have a conversation with Usher about each of them taking someone from one another genres and mentoring them. We also get to see the Shakira has her own 'English to Country Dictionary'. Tawnya goes Team Shakira.
Josiah Hawley is next. He seems to have a pop mixed with a little alternative rock sounds. He sings 'Sunday Morning' by Maroon 5. He gets a three chair turn around (Shakira sitting out). Not a huge fan of this guys personality thought- gives off that "I'm a hot guy and everyone loves me" thing, maybe he's looking to be the adult version of Bieber- although they are close in age. He ends up going with Team Usher.
Midas Whale is up next. A male folk duo from Idaho. Goofy guys but pretty entertaining. They get a four chair turn around. They end of going with... didn't see this coming Team Adam.
Cathia is next- she is just nineteen years old. She sings her song in latin. She gets a three chair turn around (Adam sits out). She is loud and now apart of Team Shakira.
Sarah Simmons is the last performance of the night. What a voice- big indie rock sound. She was my favorite performance of the night. She built on her start and finished big! She seems similar to Juliet Simms. Four chair turn around. She is now Team Adam.
At the end of the night Team Blake comes up empty handed. Team Usher get one artist making his total 3. Team Shakira gets two artist making her total 4. Team Adam gets two artist making his total 3 and Team Blake is remains at 3. Let me know your thoughts on how the teams are stacking up.

For starters, sorry for no updates/reviews from the last few days. I have been out of town but now I'm back ready for a new week.
New episode of The Voice tonight- two hours in length. Of course we got a review of previous artist and then it gets going.
The Swon Brothers get us started out with a three chair turn around. Blake, Shakira and Usher. They seem to be a country rocker group and they are also from Oklahoma.... so it is obvious that they go with Team Blake.
Taylor Beckham- an Olympic hopeful gymnast turned R&B "jazz" singer. She gets a two chair turn around from our newbies Usher and Shakira. Taylor ends up going with Team Usher.
Sam Alves didn't get anyone to turn around and I normally don't put them in here... But shame on you coaches! Look up the video of his performance and let me know what you think.
Karina Iglesias a Latin rocker chick who kicked butt. Two chair turn around from Adam and Blake. She goes with Team Adam.
Garrett Gardner is a returner from season 3. Shakira turns around for him and can I say... Carson is the most excited person. He gets his words of wisdom from Adam and Blake.
At this point a quick jump in the show were they just randomly show you a few people who have been picked but no dramatic story to go along with their audition so you just a quick listen to them.

Holly Tucker- another country singer that the three non country judges try to steal from Blake. She is amazing and does her own addition of Garth Brooks' "to make you feel my love". She ends up going Team Blake.
Michelle Chamuel- tomboy, full energy nerd, weird, cute, rock/pop girl all wrapped up in one. She gets a three chair turn around (Blake sitting out). She is a talker but finally goes with Team Usher.
Monique- get a four chair turn around (Adam hits his button just to fit in). Her idol is Shakira, so I would be shocked if she picked anyone but her. To quote Blake, "she's picking Shakira, I'm not gonna waste my time so shut up." She goes with Team Shakira.
Warren Stone- a country boy from South Carolina with a big rocker voice mix. Adam quickly turns his chair, followed by Shakira and Blake. He ends up going Team.... Shocker, ADAM!

Audrey Karrasch- a pop rocker; she sings "Price Tag". Blake turns right away and Usher soon follows. She doesn't even really listen to anything Blake says and as soon as Usher starts talking she says "Alright Usher lets do it". Team Usher.
Brandon Roush- a rocker. Shakira is the only one to turn around. He truly is the voice- he doesn't look at all like what he sounds like and he is only nineteen. Team Shakira.
Patrick Dodd- Country rocker is the best way to describe him although he did have the reggae look with the dreads . Adam and Shakira turn their chairs. Team Adam.
Fast forward part of the show when they rush some picks through.
Orlando Dixon- R&B artist. He has a soft soul sound to his voice. At the last second Usher turns around his chair. Usher lets him know that he will be pushing him to be better. With some coaching this kid could be pretty good. Team Usher.
Savannah Berry- a young seventeen country artist. Three chair turn, usher stupidly sitting this out. The coaches really fight this one out... begging is involved. She goes with Blake after Adam and Shakira put up a good fight. Team Blake.
Episode 4
Another blind audition night for The Voice

Orlando Dixon- R&B artist. He has a soft soul sound to his voice. At the last second Usher turns around his chair. Usher lets him know that he will be pushing him to be better. With some coaching this kid could be pretty good. Team Usher.

The final week of blind auditions started Monday with a two hour episode.
Jeff Lewis- He sings "U got it bad" by Usher. It takes awhile but Blake, Usher and Shakira turn around. After Blake and Shakira try he ends up going with Team Usher.
Shawna P- Worked with the Music Mafia out of Nashville. She is a country rocker. Shakira is first to turn and Adam soon follows. She goes with Team Shakira.
Caroline Glaser- indie folk coffee bar singer. She sings "Tiny Dancer". She has a very unique voice but nothing over the top which is nice. Blake and Shakira turn their chairs. She goes with Team Blake.
Michael Austin- Big Country and deputy sheriff. Adam is the first to turn followed by Shakira. After Adam makes Blake feel stupid, Shakira gets her turn. He ends up going with Team Adam.
Sasha Allen- a background singer wanting to move to the front of the stage. She sing Dixie Chicks but she isn't a country singer. She gets a four chair turn. All of them fight for her but she ends up going with Team Adam.
Fast forward part of the show happens next:
Jamila Thompson- Team Usher Amy Whitcomb- Team Adam
Justin Rivers- Team Blake Michelle Raitzin- Team Blake
Mary Miranda- a Cuban native who when moved spoke no English. She learned English through listening to music. She sings a song by Selina in Spanish. She gets a three chair turn- Adam sits out. No surprise to anyone here, she goes with Team Shakira.
Grace Askew- a blues country artist. A two chair turn with Blake and Shakira. Blake sells his soul to her and Shakira really puts it out there also but she goes with Team Blake.
Ryan Innes- a soulful singer with a big voice. He gets a four chair turn. He also has a unique voice, as Blake quotes "man he's got soul". He ends up going with Team Usher.
At the end of the night every coach has 11 spots filled on their team. Tomorrow night is the last night of blind auditions and the teams will be set. Tune in to see which person fills that special spot on each coach's team.

The last night of blind auditions and each coach only has one spot to fill for their team.
Jacqui Sandell- a rocker with a nice rasp to her voice. She gets Blake and Usher to turn. She ends up going with Team Blake completing his team.
Amber Carrington- a country singer, with Blake full already it was a wonder if the others would turn and of course Adam did. Adam was the only turn making her Team Adam; completing his team.
Luke Edgemon- a soulful gospel singer. Shakira is first to turn and Usher soon follows. He sings "I Can't Make You Love Me". Both fight for him but he goes with Team Shakira filling her team.
Jessica Childress- now it is obvious that she is Team Usher since he is the only one left. I think if the others could they would have turned around also.
All teams are full. Let the Battle Rounds begin. Tune in next Monday.
